Privacy Notice

This notice describes information collected when people use Brevard County Recent Arrests, how it supports the service, and when it may reach another party. Use of the site indicates acceptance of these practices. A government page or outside search tool has its own privacy terms.

Information You Provide

A name, location, or other term entered in a search box passes to the third-party provider that operates that tool. This site does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. Messages sent by email or a contact form may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the conversation. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless law requires it.

Automatic Technical Data

Normal web operation may record technical details with each request.

  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent
  • Referring page, when supplied
  • Date and time of access

Cookies may help measure site use and remember basic preferences. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, though some features may then work differently.

How Data Is Used

Collected data supports routine operation and improvement.

  • Keep pages available and responsive
  • Send a search request to the selected partner
  • Understand which reference pages help visitors
  • Diagnose faults, misuse, and security problems
  • Display advertising that may reflect interests

Outside Sites and Advertising

Links lead to BCSO, the Brevard Clerk, Florida corrections, VINELink, federal locators, and other services. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's privacy policy applies. Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites or select ads. This site does not control those systems.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by search partners processing a query, analytics providers measuring site use, advertising networks delivering ads, and law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.

Security Is Best Effort

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used. No internet-connected service, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed secure. This notice does not promise that a breach or unauthorized access is impossible.

Users Under Eighteen

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.

Your Data Choices

Subject to applicable law and the limits of data actually held, a person may ask for a copy, request correction, seek erasure, or object to certain processing. These choices do not control records held by BCSO, the Clerk, FDC, VINELink, or another linked service. Requests about an official record must go to its custodian under Florida's public-records framework, including Florida Statute 119.07 where applicable.

Changes to This Notice

This notice may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted with its new effective date.
